It is still whatsunday holiday - a big ... over here.  Ted took us to the old part of the city after breakfast.  After coming close we walked the rest on streets to narrow for bus or car - even Volkswagons.  Very interesting, very old Salzburg Cathedral.  most beautiful - Paintings look like painted only yesterday.  The baroque and indescribably beautiful.

Had another nice lunch at Hotel Pitter - Saurkrout too!  Afterwards we didn't want to go with the gang so we grabbed a bus after talking to a nice German couple - Oyvay!  Got off where they said for more walk.  Peaceful mountain paths to swimming pool. and other side of fortress. and Leopoldkrone Schloss.  New surprise saw local part. - not tourist part.

Took another bus to near hotel.  Walked more and found Winkler Hotel elevator for side of mountain.  Went there for white wine.  The view up there was of the entire city of Salzburg - fantastic.   Place was expensive - Lots of Germans Austrians etc, on holiday too.  The orchestra was playing Hello Dolly and such of all things.  On our walk a car full of people asked us directions - of course we couldn't understand. They turned out to be Vienese!!

Back for supper at 7:00 pm. Chicken - mineral water - good.  Afterward we wanted to find a Hummel seller. so took Joseph with us.  Didn't find that st. sure, found an interesting street and ... had a ...of white wine - home to bed.  Didn't sleep well (me) though.  Am tired.
