Had hot delicious rools, sweet butter, jam and honey.  Good coffee in Germany.

Ed took us on sightseeing tour of the medieval town.  Couldn't believe our eyes.  While on it a woman came out on her balcony.  Turned out to be from Canada.  Also lived in old town Chicago.  Invited all of us in.  The house had been a jail.  She turned out to be Gloria ...  Fieschort[?]. - must be multi - millionares.  Private collection of priceless paintings and items.  Bought the prison, renovated it.  They are the ones that ...  the Leonardo Davinci that was in the papers recently.

... to describe the remodeled home.  Priceless paintings beautifully combined with modern...She was charming.  Ted said that had never happened to him before.   Walked on some fantastic gardens and ... the walls of the city which had its own protecting walls from bygone days.

     Went to Hummel store and back to hotel for delicious German lunch and around 11:00 .  Then left on the romantic road to Austria - through Bavarian alps to Salzburg.  Had another sweet and coffee at rest stop too.  At Salzburg arrived in time for another delicious German meal. and red wine.  Took a short walk and going to turn in early -  not like last night !!  

*Forgot to mention we lost Walter at Austrian border.  He sits in front of me and I missed him right off.  Had to back the bus up down the highway.  He had an awful fright.

     Long ride to Austria.  Beautiful though.  Saw my first snow - capped mountains.  Through Bavarian Alps, Austrian Alps.  Arrived around six.  Had good meal.  Room is absolutely lovely at the... lost no...this time.  Went for a short walk.  Came back and did laundry - went to bed.
