After breakfast of coffee rolls and jam we go to travel tour office again which is by now familiar as an old friend.
On way, two french girls cover us with confetti. A funny happening.
Have the lovely guide Chantal again. Great see modern Paris now. Go to Le Omilades (named so because Napoleon had it built for the ailing soldiers of his armies).
See unesco building. Rich rich buildings along one boulevard. Stop at Sacre Coure again. Dave and I go to Monmarte and he buys a painting for 8.00$.
Go to Rue De Provence to find restaurant Passanau listed by Frommer. Wall to wall workers and french people. Crazy place. Don't know if I used same cutlery as person before me - paper on table - you figure your bill on. Old tough ladies as waitresses. Ours throws bread left by some customers back into basket, but above our heads. Remember Dave's shoe leather steak. I have sausages and strawberry, O.K. We have Creme Caramel but this is the burnt kind.
We try shopping some more but legs give out. Back to hotel for nap. The people at the hotel are very nice and helpful. We sit out again for Champs Elysies and the Star Circus.
Promenade along Champs window shop, look at cars for boys, I look for shoes. We stop at side walk cafe and have apertif. Then set out to find one of three restaurants. We settle for Cafeteria Marbeauf. A candle lit fine self -service. I have scallops and it is delicious. We all have our own litre of wine and Dave gets funny again. We all have a ball and walk to the Trocadero circle again and fountains. Say goodbye to tour Eiffel and we can feel the spray of the fountains as we walk along home. Stand between the exhibition buildings again for awhile just like Peg, Greg, Ray and I did a year ago.
Grab a taxi this time the strike is over. First boys have an Ice cream cone and off to hotel and bed.
