Up around 7:00 A.M. Ray around 5:00 A.M. Me too awake, but dose of and on. He goes for a walk and I get up to write in diary - Note its 8:00 A.M. and we'll close for now.
After bresakfast we set out for our boat ride along the Siene. Take metro to Alma Marreau. Weather bad. It rains harder. Chilly and damp and have to stay in middle area.
Too bad it was dissapointing because of this. Walk in rain without our coats and decided to take metro back to hotel. Had a nap and felt much better. dressed more properly. Had a stroll. Oh first - it's Father's Day so before we go Tom buys his dad a scotch and soda at the hotel. After an interesting stroll we walk to tour Eiffel and go up. Walk around in rain before going in. Reservation is for 7:30 P.M. Weather, though bad, is an interesting experience. Anyway we find the effect of view is strangely exhausting. Kids love the elegant restaurant.
We have turtle soup, chateaubriand, pommes soufle, mushrooms, wine - Boujalais, coffee, me strawberries. The boys the eiffel tower surprise! Now the boys are really impressed and swear they'll come back to Paris someday. One violinist plays our requests - Misty for Tom - Brazil for us- I Love Paris and others. A big family party to the left of us. We take our time with our coffee and drink it all in. The beautiful fountains go on again.
We leave and walk all around them. The tour is strange and awesome in the fog and mist. The top obliterated by rain clouds. Take metro home and off to bed after another full day. Dinner $50.00
