Dear Shirl,
I am out of the soup. I was right! "yes, Mam," for once I am really right. It amazes me. I did disrupt the school but it is to the advantage of the students.
Those circuits I was worrying about are conquered. We were tested on them yesterday and I got 91. So far the old luck is holding up. Keep those fingers crossed.
All that stuff about waves, radio, beams, on and off, mixes me up. What gives?
Please don't get mad about that small Valentine. I was looking through some and when I saw that one, it nearly knocked me over. I thought you would get a kick out of it. Maybe my sense of humor ain't so hot.
Did you ever try to write when your fingers are numb? Hard, huh?
I'll meet you at the bank and we'll carry on from there. Anything you want to do is O.K. by me. How about sitting in Grant Park and looking at the moon?
As of yesterday the Signal Corp. has no control over our equipment. Strictly Air Force from now on. That makes it easier on us.
The whole school is feeling a little bit blue. Statistics came through on the average life of a C.N.S. Man. It's pretty bad, but there isn't one fellow here that would want to get out of it. Really a great bunch of guys. I'm glad to be with them.
Good work about the raise. Hope you have many more.
Honey, am I changing , or is the rest of the world? Everyone seems so darned serious around here. We were paid today and no one seems any happier. If you don't do some laughing on Monday I'll just have to tickle you. Til then
Love
Ray
